I've been planning this blog in my mind for awhile now, and I finally did it! I had to overcome several obstacles, including a severe lack of time AND a broken camera, but I persevered and here I am. I have several reasons for writing a knitting blog, not the least of which is to give myself a motivation to tackle the shameful amount of nearly finished projects lurking in the corners of my life. The need for posting material will hopefully give me an extreme case of finishitis.
To begin, here is a pic of my most recently finished project:
Pattern: Monkey Socks by Cookie A. from knitty
Yarn: Southwest Trading Co. TOFUtsies, color 788
Needles: size 1 bamboo DPN's
Aren't they nifty? These are the first socks that I ever made for myself, and I think I'm hooked. I'm definitely a sock knitter now!
Another purpose of this blog: To fulfill the many requests for more recent pics of my sweet baby girl.

She's modeling a super-cute pair of jeans, knit with love by my best bud Katie. Thanks Katie! The blanket she's laying on was knit by another great friend Maribeth. So pretty! You guys are awesome.
I'll be adding my profile soon, as well as a list of my favorite blogs, and VERY LONG list of UFO's. Stay tuned for news from the store as well. More soon!

I'll enjoy reading the blog Kate! Especially since we don't see each other as often as we used to. I'm just gonna have to come to the shop on a non-work day to sit 'n knit and catch up with my favorite boss!

The socks look great on your feet. I saw them in the store and they were very cute. I will have to try that pattern and yarn. I love to knit sock and especially toe-up patterns.
Audrey is so cute. Enjoy her... they grow so fast. My "baby" is 21 and 6' 4". Hard to cuddle with now but it is great that he likes giving his mom a hug.

Hey Kate, Audrey's "confused" picture in her cool new jeans is really cute! It looks like she should have a pack of candy cigarettes curled up under her t-shirt cuff! Love everything about your new blog-I had fun reading all of the comments - I better get back to that beginner washcloth project so I know what everybody is talking about! Lots of Love, MomXO
PS in case you are wondering about the "comment deleted" - that was dad! He accidentally posted his comment twice! oops!
